We read in class today about 1960s and how there was a bomb drill at schools. We also saw part of a video which was a cartoon of like a duck or something talking about what to do if you "saw the flash" and went something like "remember, when you see the flash, cover your head and neck under your desk." What is the name of that and where can I find it?
so.... did you get to watch "Atomic Cafe"??? It's around somewhere to rent - it has all this old film in it about Duck and Cover.

It's both hysterically funny and so sad. We wasted our entire national wealth for 60 years on a bunch of worthless bombs - all so paranoid republican types could massage their egos.
And the republicans are STILL shouting for it! It just never gets old - they're calling Obama "a COMMUNIST" - it's right out of 1960.
