bake sale, can i pre mix the night before?
kids are going to be involved with a bake sale. I was asked to get everything pre mixed before they come to the church for the baking. Is that going to change the quality of the cake or brownie? I thought they needed to be put right in the oven after mixing.
If the recipe has baking soda or baking powder, it needs to be baked right away in order to rise properly. You could put all the wet together and all the dry together and mix the two together at the church at the last minute. Another option is to use a brownie recipe without baking soda or powder.
