Question on the renovation and increase in value?
We own our home in Southern California. We're about 10 miles in land a prime location. Due to mite allergy, we need to replace the carpet and install new flooring. The house is on a foundation slab. The water supply lines were repiped above ground in the attic before I moved here 15 years ago. My question is: What that add more value to my home: Install laminate flooring indestructible or staining the existing concrete? The link below is an example of what I would do. http://modellodesigns.com/
My guess is stratified like to add more value. When you put the house for resale stained concrete is concrete and sounds cheap. I'm not a fan of laminate, either for the same reason. It may be cheap to cover. If you are concerned resale value do you think of terrazzo or tile? I think one of them evokes an upscale home and does not cost much more than your initial choice, especially when installed on a concrete slab.
