Can you knot beading wire?
I have some large thick pendants and need to make my own bails with seed beads. I'm having problems with weak threads that fray and aren't strong and when I use wire and try to crimp them they just fall apart. I was wondering if I tied the wire together would it hold? Any suggestions on how to make attractive bails? THANKS!!
I do not believe you can knot wire as it would be too hard to do so. when i make my necklaces i use fish line. you can use up to i believe it is 20 test and it works just as good as wire and it is knotable and easier to crimp. i am a floral designer and i do not know of anyway to tie wire together. even beading wire. my suggestion would be to try fish line as heavy as you can use that will go through your beads.
